Sueing to make a living
In today's landscape its all too easy for those not in love with us as towing pros to find a way to get rich suing us. It only takes one mishap to grab your ass and it can mean loosing the whole operation. I will not sit here and tell you all things are preventable. There are times something you do can really mess up. Even with extreme caution and constant inspections, tow trucks are mechanical, things can break, likewize some idiot can cause you to turn or exceed the limits of your equipment. So yes things can go bad. But if a customer's ride slydes, if your hit, or you cause a real problem , just to get back home where its warm, the damage from legal issues can wipe you out. Even if you win the initial complaint, the costs of litigation can really take a serious byte out of profits. Or get you taken off of a important rotation list.
